The Nazis and people who agreed with them wanted to protect the German community from ""inferior"" races. Are there other examples in history or literature in which groups of people murdered innocent people in the name of ""protecting"" themselves?

Answer:

One of the groups that murdered innocent people to "protect" themselves is that which was founded twice. First in 1865 but it was dissolved because of its cruelty and afterwards it was refounded in 1915. This organization is Ku Klux Klan (KKK). This is an organization of the extreme right in the United States, created in the 19th century, immediately after the Civil War, and which mainly promote the supremacy of the white race and, therefore, racism, xenophobia and anti-Semitism, as well as Homophobia, anti-Catholicism and anti-communism. Often, these organization have resorted to terrorism, violence and intimidating acts such as the burning of crossings, to impose their judgment and oppress their victims. The first Klan members claimed to have killed more than one hundred and fifty black people in a single county in Florida, and hundreds more in other counties.
