Answer:

In 1469 the Spanish empire came under one umbrella by the marriage alliance of Ferdinand of Argon and Isabelle of Castille. It was a turning point in the history of Spain as now it can finance voyages and withhold foreign lands. In 1492 Columbus discovered a new world and Spanish imperialism boost their economic growth. However social conditions of Spain could not stand to enjoy this because of too much tax burden on the peasantry and the war with England proved disastrous.
