A road rises 60m for every 340m travelled along it. At what angle ( to the nearest degree) is the road inclined to the horizon

let angle of incline be represented by alpha


\tan( \alpha ) = (60)/(340)


\alpha = \tan( (60)/(340) )

(note that above, inverse tan (tan to the power of -1 is used)


= 10.0079798

= 10 degrees ( nearest degree)
