Explanation:

The formula is f(x) = 1.6 ln (x+1)

so we now that f(x) = 9

and we need to solve this for x

Since we have a natural log we need to rake an anti log.

The equation will be as follows


x = e^{(9-1)/(1.6) } - 1

x = 147.41

Since it is greater than 147 hence 149 is the right answer.
