Do you think that washing soda na2co3 could be used for the same purpose as baking soda. would na2co3 react with hcl

Reaction of NaHCO3 with HCl gives:

NaHCO3(aq) + HCl(aq)→NaCl(aq)+CO2(g) + H2O(l)

NaHCO3(aq) is commonly used as baking powder. To produce cakes and for other baking purposes ,as it can be edible.

Reaction of Na2CO3 with HCl gives:

Na2CO3(aq)+2HCl(aq)→2NaCl(aq) + CO2(g) + H2O(g)

Both compounds react the same way with HCl, as sodium chloride is produce giving off CO2 and water.
