The Diameter of the sun is approximately 1.39 * 10^6km. The diameter of Mercury is approximately 4.88 * 10^3 km. About how many times larger is the diameter of the sun than the diameter of Mercury?

A .28 * 10^3 times larger (I put this and got it wrong)
B. 3 * 10^3 times larger
C. 2.8 * 10^2 times larger
D. 2.8 * 10^4

Please show me how you got the answer!

Im not completely sure but I think its D.

I just divided them by each other.

(Im sorry I don’t really know how scientific notation works)
