by 40%. If the number of students enrolled at the university in 2006 was 10,325,
what was the enrollment in 2000?​

Given as :

The increased percentage of student from 2000 to 2006 is 40%

Let the number of students in year 2000 was x

The number of student in 2006 = The number of student in 2000 × (
(1 +(40)/(100))^(6)

Or, 10,325 = x ×(
(1 +(40)/(100))^(6)

Or, 10,325 = x ×
((140)/(100))^(6)

Or, 10,325 = x × 7.529

∴ x =
(10,325)/(7.529)

So, x = 1371.364

Hence The enrollment in year 2000 was about 1371 Answer
