Answer: improper fraction : x= 29/4

Mixed number: x= 7 1/4

Decimal form: x= 7.25

Step-by-step explanation: * x is the shortened of saying 1x *

  1. Add like terms (out of the equation combine +3x and +1x which is 4x. And combine +2and -6 which is -4 ) and now the equation is reads 4x -4= 25
  2. Move the "-4" to the other side pf the equation by Addition Property of Equality 4x -4 = 25 . +4 +4 . 4x = 29
  3. Then, separate the 4 from the x to get it by itself by Dividing 4 into 4x . *Remember what you do to one side of the equation do to other side* 4x/4 = 29/4
  4. The answer now depends what the teacher wants if she want it to stay as an improper fraction it will be 29/4 if it wanted in Mixed number its 7 and 1/4 and if its necessary to have in decimal form its 7.25.
