The ratio of the number of Yankee fans to Red Sox fans is 5:4 Then there are 72 players

Solution:

Given, the ratio of players to fans is 4 : 20

The ratio of the number of Yankee fans to Red Sox fans is 5:4.

There are 200 Yankee fans.

We have to find how many players are there?

Now, for 5 yankee fans ⇒ 4 red sox fans

Then, for 200 yankee fans ⇒ “n” red sox fans

So, by chris cross method,

\begin{array}{l}{5 * n=4 * 200} \\\\ {\rightarrow 5 n=800 \rightarrow n=160}\end{array}

So, there are 200 yankee fans and 160 red sox fans

Then, total number of fans = 200 yankee + 160 red sox = 360 fans

Now, we know that,

For 4 players ⇒ 20 fans

Then, “p” ⇒ 360 fans

Now, by chris cross method,

\begin{array}{l}{4 * 360=20 * p} \\\\ {\rightarrow 20 p=4 * 360} \\\\ {\rightarrow 2 p=4 * 36} \\\\ {\rightarrow p=2 * 36 \rightarrow p=72}\end{array}

Hence, there are 72 players
