The approximate radius of the circle in feet is 14.5

Solution:

Given, a tile artist is placing tiles in a circular mosaic pattern and the area of the circle is 658 square feet,

We have to find what is the approximate radius of the circle in feet?

The area of a circle is found with the formula
\mathrm{A}=\mathrm{yr}^(2)

where "y" represents 3.14 and r is radius. So now, according to given information,

\begin{array}{l}{y r^(2)=658} \\\\ {\rightarrow 3.14 * r^(2)=658} \\\\ {\rightarrow r^(2)=209.55} \\\\ {\rightarrow r=14.4759}\end{array}

Hence, the radius of the given circle is 14.5 feet approximately
