Answer:

The original speed is 3.7 mph and his faster speed is 7.4 mph.

Explanation:

He moves 11 miles with bicycle speed of x mph and takes rest for 1 hour and then again he moves 15 miles with 2x mph speed.

The total time he takes is 6 hours.

Hence,
(11)/(x) +1+(15)/(2x)= 6

(11)/(x) +(15)/(2x)= 5

(11)/(x) +(7.5)/(x)= 5

(18.5)/(x)=5

x = 3.7 mph

and 2x = 7.4 mph

Therefore, the original speed is 3.7 mph and his faster speed is 7.4 mph. (Answer)
