An individual is making chicken-stuffed peppers for the gluten-intolerant and pita breads for the vegetarians in a cooking class. Each chicken-stuffed pepper takes twice as long to make as a pita bread. The individual needs to feed 5 gluten-intolerant and 10 vegetarian classmates. The individual has 8 hours, how much time can they spend on each chicken-stuffed pepper?

Answer:

48min

Explanation:

Gluten intolerant students eat chicken-stuffed peppenrs.

Vegetarian eat pita breads

There are 5 gluten intolerant and 10 vegetarian people.

To make 10 pita breads, it is necessary 10x (hours)

To make 5 chicken stuffed peppers, it is neccesary 5*2x=10x (hours)

He has 8 hours, i.e,

10x+5*2x=9

20x=8

x=(2)/(5)or 0.4

2/5 of 60 min (1 hour) are 24 minutes.

However to make each chicken stuffed peppers he can take 24*2=48 min
