Answer:

The total surface area of this right triangular prism = 408 sq feet

Explanation:

Dimensions of the Base Rectangle are 12 feet and 10 feet.

The height of the triangle = 6 ft , Base = 8 ft and hypotenuse = 10 ft

Now, A triangular prism has total 5 sides:

3 Rectangular Sides and 2 Triangular sides.

So, TOTAL S.A. of Prism = S. A of all 3 rectangles + S.A of 2 triangular faces

SA of one rectangle = Length x Width = 12 x 10 = 120 sq feet

SA of 3 rectangular region = 3 x 120 = 360 sq feet

SA of one Triangle = 1/2 x Base x Height = 1/2 x 8 x 6 = 24 sq feet

SA of 2 triangular region = 2 x 24 = 48 sq feet

⇒The total area = SA of 3 rectangular region + SA of 2 triangular region

= 360 sq feet + 48 sq feet = 408 sq feet

Hence the total surface area of this right triangular prism = 408 sq feet
