slope of the line is given by

2x+4y=5

4y=-2x+5

y=(-2/4)x+5/4

y=(-1/2)x+5/4

from, y=mx+c

m=-1/2

slope of a line parallel to this line

from, m1=m2

slope, m=-1/2

slope of a line perpendicular to this line

from, m1m2=-1

(-1/2)m2=-1

m2=2

slope, m=2
