There are 33 chocolates in a box, all identically shaped. There 9 are filled with nuts, 8 with caramel, and 16 are solid chocolate. Someone randomly selects one piece, eats it, and then selects a second piece. Find the probability of selecting 2 nut candies.

Answer:

7%

Explanation:

Divide 9 by 33, the nut candies by the total amount. You get 0.2727272 which is 28% (rounded up.)

Divide 8 by 32 (the remainder of nut candies divided by the total because you took one out it's 32) and you get 0.25

Divide 0.28 by 0.25 and you get 0.07 which is 7%
