Answer: 35 kids were on each bus

Explanation:

258 = 7k + 13

k = kids on buses

First, subtract 13 from each side

245 = 7k

Divide each side by 7

35 = k

Answer:

Explanation:

Let the number of children in each bus = x

Total no. of children rode on bus = 7x

7x + 13 = 258

7x = 258 - 13

7x = 245

x = 245/7

x =35

There were 35 children on each bus.
