The function f(x)=2•5^x can be used to represent the curve through the points (1,10), (2,50), and (3,250).

output (y) values from the given equation.
2 x 5^1 = 10
2 x 5^2 = 50
2 x 5^3 = 250

The question is asking how much bigger does the output get at each point.
Since you're adding 1 to the exponent each time, you are adding a power of 5.

So doesn't it make sense that the outputs will be 5 times bigger each time?

10 x 5 = 50
50 x 5 = 250
250 x 5 = ???

test this out.... what is the value of the function when you put in 4 for X? Does it give you 5 times the value when you put in 3?
