2x+4-12=207
First you need do 4-12 which equals to -8
So now the problem is 2x-8=215
We need to isolate the variable so we do the inverse operation of -8 which is +8
We add 8 to 207 which gives you 215
Now we divide 2 by 215 which is 107.5
The answer is 107.5

Answer:

(215)/(2) (exact form) or 107.5 (decimal form) or
107(1)/(2) (mixed number form)

Explanation:

Isolate the variable to get the answer.

2x+4-12=207

Add 12 to both sides to get the equation.

2x+4=219

Subtract 4 from both sides to get the equation.

2x=215

Divide both sides by two to get the answer.

x=215/2
