Hence, L = 4A - 6

Again, Brynne swam eight more than twice as many laps as Amanda.

Hence, B =2A + 8

If Lisa and Brynne swam the same amount of laps, then

L = B

⇒ 4A - 6 = 2A + 8

⇒ 2A = 14

A = 7 laps

So, B = 2A + 8 = 2(7) + 8 = 22 laps
