  • it might be positive or negative. it should also be linear.
  • it also should not have a y-intercept.( the point where the line crosses the y axis)
  • so for example a graph with an equation of y =3x or y=-3x is proportional. It has an originality since there is no y-intercept which is b in an equation. It also has a steady rate or slope of 3 which makes it linear.
