Step-by-step explanation:
the flagpole has a base of 35 ft since a shadow is cast across the ground.
the tree has a base of 7 ft and a height of 9 ft.
now compare both bases of the flagpole and the tree.
they do have a connection. 7 and 35. the flagpole base is 5 times bigger than the tree base.
in order to find the height of the flagpole, you need to multiply the tree height by 5.
so 9×5 is 45 which the answer is 45 ft.
