Answer:

Checks and balances between the legislative and executive branches include, but is not limited too:

1) Legislative Branch: The Legislative Branch is able to pass bills as long as it meets the majority vote. (Check: The President can veto the bill if he does not like it or thinks that it is not good for the people).

2) Executive Branch: The Executive Branch has the ability to veto bills passed by the Legislative Branch. (Check: The Legislative Branch can over ride the veto if it gets the majority vote once again).

These checks represent the intentions of the Framers, for they do not want a certain individual (or branch of government) to become too powerful. In this case, the power rests in many different people, which makes it harder for their to be corruption.
