Significant compromises in the constitutional convention in 1787:
- Constitutional convention of 1787 which took place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from May to September, had one of the major compromises that was the Great Compromise.
- This compromise resulted in the creation of a bicameral legislature leading to two separate assemblies having legislators.
- There was House of Representatives where the representatives represented their states depending upon the population of the states.
- This meant larger representation of the states with more population and less representation of the states with less population.
