The answer is A. Using the distance formula... subtract the first x value from the second and square it. 5-0 = 5, 5^2 = 25. Same for the y values... -9-3 = -12, (-12)^2 = 144... to find the distance, add these two squares together and take the square root of it: sqrt(25+144) = sqrt(169) = 13.
