Then the other parallel side is equal to x+1 ft

Given height of the trapezoid = 4 ft

Area of the trapezoid = 10
ft^(2)

We know that the area of trapezoid=
(1)/(2)* (height)(sum of the parallel sides)

(1)/(2)*(4)*(x+x+1)


2x+1=5


x=2

The lengths of the base are 2 ft and 3 ft
