In 2008, the total trade between the United States and Japan was $2.04 x 101^1. The total trade between the U.S. And Australia was $3.28 x 10^10. How many times greater was the trade with Japan than the trade with Australia? Write your answer in scientific notation.

6.21 times more

Explanation:

Assuming 2.04 x 10^11 was only a typo

you would need to first equal the powers of 10

so 20.4 x 10^10 and 3.28 x 10^10

now that they have the same powers


(20.4 * 10^(10))/(3.28 * 10^(10))  = (20.4)/(3.28) = 6.219512...

if it's asking for how many times i would approximate it to 6.21 times more
