What I was trying to say is that the shirt looks really good. (LOUIS wanders over to the morning newspaper that is still sitting on the front lawn. He leafs through it while EDDIE and ROSA talk.)

In paragraph 5, the stage directions say that Louis leaves through the morning newspaper. What is the BEST interpretation for the word leaves?
A) tears the pages into leaf-sized pieces
B) reads each of the leaf-shaped pages carefully
C) turns the pages rather quickly, skimming the articles
D) turns the pages rather slowly, reading the articles carefully to find information

Answer: C) turns the pages rather quickly, skimming the articles

Step-by-step explanation:

The word leafs/leaves in action term (verb) refers to the process of casually or quickly turning the pages of magazines or books

over without paying much attention to details from it.

For example; I will leaf through the business plans over lunch.

Meaning he will quickly go through the pages of the business plan while taking his lunch. Note; little attention being paid
