since :

cos (90° – x) = sin x

cos(x) = sin(pi/2 - x)

then

cos(6x-12) =! sin(8x-10)

since (8x-10) =! (pi/2- 6+12)

then this identity of cos(6x-12) = sin(8x-10) doesn't exist

Subtract sin (8x − 10) from both sides of the equation.

cos (6x − 12) − sin (8x − 10) = 0
