y=5x+8

Explanation:

Two straight lines are perpendicular when the product of their slopes is -1.

the given line is
y=9-(x)/(5).

The slope of line
y=mx+c is
m.

So, the slope of
y=9-(x)/(5) is
(-1)/(5).

Let slope of perpendicular line be
m.

m\textrm{ x }(-1)/(5)=-1

m=5

The line also passes through
(-2,-2).

The equation of line is
(y-(-2))=5(x-(-2)).

y+2=5x+10

y=5x+8 is the line perpendicular to
y=9-(x)/(5) and passing through
(-2,-2).
