Answer:

$ 10

Explanation:

Let Daniel's weekly allowance be
x dollars.

Money spent on Candy =
(1)/(2)* x=(x)/(2)

Money left with Daniel after spending on Candy is equal to:

x-(x)/(2)=(2x-x)/(2)=(x)/(2)

Now, money given by his parents to wash car = $ 5.

So, total money Daniel has = Money left + Money from car wash =
(x)/(2)+5

As per question, money left with Daniel = $ 10.

Therefore,

(x)/(2)+5=10\\(x)/(2)=10-5\\(x)/(2)=5\\x=5* 2=10

Hence, Daniel's weekly allowance is $ 10.

Answer:

The weekly allowance =$10

Explanation:

Let the weekly allowance of Daniel be x.

According the question the money he spend on the candy is x/2.

The money left with him from the weekly allowance is x/2.

Also the money he received from a car wash is $5.

The total money with Daniel at the end of the week=The money he received from car wash + The money left from the weekly allowance.

Given At the end of the week Daniel has $10

Now according to our formulae

10=5+
x/2

x/2=5

x=10.

Therefore the weekly allowance of Daniel is $10
