Answer: He should plant 50 tulip bulbs and 300 daffodil bulbs .

Explanation:

Let x be the number of tulip bulbs and y be the number of daffodil bulbs.

According to the given statement , we have

y= 6x--------------(1)\\x+y=350-------------------(2)

Substitute the value of y from (1) in (2) , we get

x+6x=350

7x=350

Divide both sides by 7 , we get

x= 50

Out value of x in (1) , we get

y= 6(50)=300

Hence, He should plant 50 tulip bulbs and 300 daffodil bulbs .
