Now, given the next line is perpendicular to the first line.

If two lines are perpendicular to each other with respective slopes m 1 and m 2, then ( m 1 x m 2) = -1

So, the slope of the second line = -1/m1

or, m2 = -4

so, by SLOPE INTERCEPT FORM of an equation:

(y-(-2)) = (-4)(x -2)

OR, y + 2 = -4x + 8
