Draw a Lewis structure for nitric acid (the hydrogen atom is attached to one of the oxygen atoms). Include all three resonance hybrids by alternating the double bond among the three oxygen atoms. Draw molecules by placing atoms on the grid and connecting them with bonds. Include all nonbonding electrons.

Answer:

Figure attached

Step-by-step explanation:

A. Lewis dot structure

Number of electrons

Number of electrons by H = 1 e

Number of electrons by O = 6 (3)

Number of electrons by O = 18 e

Number of electrons by N = 5 e

Total in HNO3 = 24 e

Resonance structures

In resonance structures we mostly prefer 1st two structures because 3rd one have high charge so it is very unstable form then the other two. Figure 4 contains the hybrid structure which is mostly used in literature.
