The amount of grazing land available for each cow varies inversely with the

number of cows. When there are 10 cows, each cows has 2 acres available.
How many acres are available for each cow when there are 50 cows?

Answer:

0.4 acres are available for 50 cows.

Explanation:

As it is given that:

Number of cows is inversely proportional to amount of land.

[Inversely proportional means that when one quantity is increased, other is decreased respectively]

Now the scenario is:

COWS ACRES

10 2

50 X

As they are inversely proportional so for finding X the equation will be:

10/50=X/2

(10/50)*2 =X

20/50 = X

0.4 = X

So there would be 0.4 acres available for each cow.
