Answer:
Alexander Hamilton was one of the Founding Fathers born on the Carribean Island of Nevis. His father was James Hamilton and his mom was Rachel Faucette Lavien. Alexander Hamilton's dad left his family when Alexander was 10 and when he was just 11, he was HIRED as a clerk for a trading company on St. Croix. Hamilton gained more attention after writing a document on the hurricane that destroyed his town. Locals helped him raise money to climb aboard a ship going to America to study. He arrived in New York just as the colonies were getting ready for war for independence from Britain. Alexander went to King's College. While he studied there, he wrote great written works where he defended the first Continental Convention. During the Revolutionary War, he lead an artillery in the Continental Army and fought in the battles, Trenton and Princeton. Soon after, he caught the eye of army commander-in-chief George Washington. Alexander became Washington's secretary and that helped to build his reputation. In 1780, he married Elizabeth Schuyler who would have 8 children with Alexander. A year later, Hamilton left Washington's staff but came back briefly later that year when Washington needed his help during the Battle of Yorktown. Hamilton was appointed command a battalion in Marquis de Lafayette's division. For the Battle or Yorktown, it was a surprise attack. They took the bullets out of their guns so they couldn't accidentally fire. THE PLAN WORKED! Hamilton's troops took control with hardly any American deaths.
