The 15th Amendment gave

freed male slaves the right to
vote half a century before
white women got that same
right. What do you think this
says about the nature of
progress in the United
States? Is this still relevant
today?

Answer:

This shows a lot of the misogyny that has been happening within the United States. Blacks, who were seen as much less than whites, if they were male were seen as more than women. Which means that women were see as less than someone who was seen as lowest of the low. Males generally got the advantage in situations, and that, especially in politics is relevant and happens today as well.
