Answer:

Dan have 42 cards more than Bob

Explanation:

Let

x ----> number of cards that Dan has

y ----> number of cards that Bob has

we know that

x+y=182 ----> equation A

(x)/(y)=(8)/(5) ----->
x=(8)/(5)y ----> equation B

substitute equation B in equation A

(8)/(5)y+y=182

Solve for y

(13)/(5)y=182

y=182(5)/13\\y=70

Find the value of x

x=(8)/(5)(70)=112

so

Dan's cards is 112

Bob's cards is 70

Find out the difference between Dan's cards and Bob's cards

112-70=42

therefore

Dan have 42 cards more than Bob
