A tire on a car rotates at 500 RPM (revolutions per minute) when the car is traveling at 50 km/hr (kilometers per hour). What is the circumference of the tire, in meters?

Answer:1.05m

Explanation:

Angular speed = 500rpm

Linear speed =50km/hr =50×1000/60(meter/minute)

=83.33 meters/minute

Linear speed = radius of tire × angular speed

83.3= 500r

r = 0.167m

Circumference = 2πr

= 2× 3.142×0.167

=1.05m
