2) Now measure the area of your palm
a) Trace your palm out on the 1 inch square grid paper and count up the number squares that your
palm covers. You will have to estimate how much area the fractional squares add up to. Look at
the figure below as an example,
The (almost) whole squares with the red
squiggles add up to 4
and two of the hall squares with the yelow in
them add up to 1 whole

they all add up to about 4
The total area inside the blue outline is
