final mass = 3.9kg

So, Change in mass = initial mass - final mass

= 6.5 - 3.9

= 2.6 kg

and,

Change in percentage of mass =
(change in mass)/(original mass) * 100

Change in percentage of mass =
(2.6)/(6.5) * 100

= 40
