If the transversal intersect two parallel lines then pairs corresponding angle are equal .

Hence from shown figure ,

∠(6x - 10) = ∠(9x - 11) and

∠(3y + 16) = ∠2 y

So , 9x - 6x = 11 - 10

or, x = 1

And

2y = 3y + 16

Or, y = -16

Hence , x = 1 and y = - 16 Answer
