Parallel lines have the same slope

The slope of the given line is ¼,thus,

y-¼x+7=0

y=¼x-7

Now using the point-slope form y-y1=m(x-x1)

y-1=¼(x-4)

4y-4=x-4

4y=x-4+4

4y=x

y=¼x
