Explanation:

We know that the two angles are congruent, because they are opposite exterior angles.

Attached is a picture that shows the theorem that allows us to say the previous sentence!

1) Set both angles equal:

x+58=4x-11

2) Subtract x from both sides:

58=3x-11

3) Add 11 to both sides:

3x=69

4) Divide both sides by 3:

x=23
