Every dimension of cylinder A is multiplied by 4 to make cylinder B. What is the ratio of the volume of cylinder A to the volume of cylinder B? (Cylinder A- height=5, ratio=3)

Answer: 1:64

Explanation:

Vol of cylinder = πr2h

Vol of A = π*r2*5

Vol of B = π*(4r)^2 * 4*5

Ratio of A to B =

π*r2*5/π*16r^2 * 20

=5/320 = 1/64
