"The black Mans Talks of Reaping" portrays the complete lack of freedom by presenting us with the deprivation that slaves suffered, the hard and difficult life in southern plantation fields. The poem shows how slaves were the producers of the land, they were the great sowers of what they would never have access to, but they were constantly limited, exploited and massacred, not having the freedom to get rid of it.
