Deoxygenated blood from whole body enters the right atrium of heart through Superior vena cava. After that the blood is pumped through Tricuspid valve in to the left ventricle. Tricuspid valve allows and prevent the back flow of blood in to the atrium. The blood is pushed in to the lungs via pulmonary arteries (which take only deoxygenated blood). Pulmonary veins are responsible for receiving the oxygenated blood from lungs and carry blood back to the Left atrium. The oxygenated blood enters left ventricle through bicuspid valve.
