12i^2+38i-40

Explanation:

In this problem, you have to FOIL.

Which means that first you multiply the first term "8" in (8+2i) by the terms in (-5+6i)

so...

8 * -5

8*6i

And you get:

-40 + 48i

Then You multiply the second term "2i" by the terms in (-5+6i)

so...

2i*-5

2i*6i

And you get:

-10 +12i^2

Then you add like terms to get: 12i^2 +38i-40
