Explanation:

Data

radius = 8 in

height = 20 in

π = 3.14

Formula

Volume sphere = 4/3 π r³

Volume cylinder = 1/3 π r²h

Process

Volume of sphere = 4/3 (3.14)(8)³

= 2143.57 in³

But the figure has only half of the sphere; V = 1071.8 in³

Volume of the cylinder = 1/3 (3.14)(8)²(20)

= 1339.7 in³

Total volume = 1071.8 + 1339.7

= 2411.5 in³

My result is a little bit different than one of the options.
