Answer:

There are 52 more girls in school.

Explanation:

Given :

Total Students - 300 students.

The ratio of boys to girls is 31 : 44

To Find :

How many more girls are there in the school.

Solution :

Consider :

The multiplier as x.

→ 44x + 31x = 300

→ 31x = Number of boys .

→ 44x = Number of girls.

→ The number of Boys + girls = 300.

Now,

Use the value of x as the multiplier.

So,

→ 44 x 4 = 176 girls.

→ 31 x 4 + 124 boys.

→ 176 - 124

→ =52

Conclusion →There are 52 more girls in school.

Answer: 52

Explanation:

Let y be the multiplier

31y = no. of boys

44y = no. of girls

Boys + girls = 300

44y + 31y = 300

75y = 300

y = 300/75

y = 4

Using 4 as the multiplier

therefore:

44*4 = 176 girls

31*4 = 124 boys

176 girls - 124 boys = 52
