Answer:

Adults ticket price = $15

Child's ticket = $10

Explanation:

Let, Adults ticket price = X

Child's ticket price = Y

According to the question,

3X + 4Y = 85.......(i)

2X + 3Y = 60........(ii)

Multiplying (i) with 2, and (ii) with 3, we can get,

6X + 8Y = 170......... (iii)

6X + 9Y = 180.........(iv)

(iii) - (iv), we can get

8Y - 9Y = 170-180

-Y = -10

Y= 10 (By multiplying -1)

Putting Y = 10 in equation (i)

3X + 4Y = 85

3X + 4*10 = 85

3X + 40 = 85

3X = 85 - 40

3X = 45

X = 45/3

X = 15

Therefore the adult ticket price is $15, and the child's ticket price is $10.
